NSJ release of publication in support of freedom of expression
The launch of the deliberations from the International Conference held in Maputo on support for freedom of expression took place in September. The report is edited by John Mukela, NSJ Director and creates a collective ‘narrative’ of the conference proceedings with the authors’ engagements of key theoretical themes.
The current dialogue on freedom of expression and democracy is seen in the context of what has been termed a ‘New World Order’ of global networks of information, power and wealth.
The report has been financed by funds from the Government of Norway and Sweden, kindly channeled through the Swedish Embassy and the Norwegian Embassy in Maputo.
